Years ago, while I was holding a meeting in Kimberley Northern Cape, a Methodist woman came up to me and said, "Prophet Frank, I don't know much about healing. For seventeen years I haven't been able to do my housework or cook breakfast for my husband. I haven't been able to function as a wife and mother because of bad health.

"And after spending thousands of rands, doctors have admitted that they just can't help me. I've been in the prayer lines of some of the most outstanding healing evangelists in our country and have attended healing schools. But I didn't realize how important the Word of God was in receiving healing until I heard you teach today. I'm coming back tomorrow."

Well, she came back the third day and the fourth day. Every day she came, she got stronger. I never even prayed for her. She never got in the healing line. As far as I know, no one prayed for her. We eventually closed out the meeting and left.

About thirty days later, I received a letter from her that said, "I am the Methodist lady who told you that I didn't realize the reality of the Word of God and the Name of Jesus. I've been listening to your CD from your services and following along in my Bible.

"One day, I just suddenly stood up, lifted up my Bible in one hand, and said, 'Devil, it's you who has had me bound all these seventeen years. I haven't been able to do my housework. I haven't been able to function as a human being. I demand my rights! Get out of my house and leave right now in the Name of Jesus!'

"Prophet Frank, it's so wonderful! For the first time in seventeen years, I'm doing all my housework. I'm getting up every morning and cooking breakfast for my husband. I'm getting him off to work. I'm forty-six years old, but I've got the vim, vigor, and vitality of a sixteen-year-old. I'm so glad you came along and taught me!"

Confession:
The devil is the one who brings sickness and disease, not God. I take back what the devil has stolen from me! I demand my rights in the Name of Jesus!

TEXT: 1 CORINTHIANS 15:12-44
12 Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead? 13 But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen: 14 And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.
15 Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not. 16 For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised: 17 And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.
18 Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished. 19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. 20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. 21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. 22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

32 If after the manner of men I have fought with beasts at Ephesus, what advantageth it me, if the dead rise not? let us eat and drink; for to morrow we die. 33 Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners. 34 Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame. 35 But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come? 36 Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die: 37 And that which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain: 38 But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body. 39 All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds.
40 There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another. 41 There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory.
42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:
43 It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:
44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.

Mrs Doris was a 120 years year old woman who had lived a long and fruitful life, she had been a dear and precious woman, a soul winner and teacher of children in the body of Christ. When she passed away, I was asked to conduct the funeral by the family.

In her family, half of her children and most of the grandchildren were also Christians. Half were not. What a difference between the two groups.

To the Christian family members, Mrs Doris’s death was a time of great rejoicing. They knew that she was with the Lord. But to her children who did not know Jesus, it was a time of great fear, sorrow, and uncertainty.

One of the beautiful aspects of being born again is that we have assurance of eternal life with our Lord. Resurrection of the dead is foundational to our walk with the Lord and should be understood by all truth Christians.

We live in a time when people are quite self – oriented, or narcissistic. They say, “eat drink, and be merry, for tomorrow we die!” This point of view seems reasonable to the “now” generation, and has permeated the church as well.

God’s point of view is different. In God’s word, the future is constantly held before us as an incentive for righteousness in this present world.

2. Eternal judgment

The resurrection of the dead is the restoration of dead bodies to life never spirit or souls. This will be obvious as we look at the four different bodily resurrection distinguished in the Bible.

Individuals were Temporarily Resurrection

These include the following:

The son of the widow of Zarephath (I kings 17:17-24)

The son of the Shunamite woman (II Kings 4:18-37)

A man who was thrown in Elisha’s grave (II Kings 13:20-21)

Many saints who were after Jesus resurrection (Matthew 27:52-53)

The son of the widow of Nain (Luke 7:11-18)

Lazarus (John 11)

Tabitha (Acts 9:36-43)

Eutychus (Acts 20:9-12)

Apparently other individual have been raised, both in Biblical times (Matthew 10:8) and in this age. However these resurrections have all been temporary, for I Corinthians 15:20 declares, “Jesus called out with the loud voice.” Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.” when he had said this, he breathed his last.” According to John 5:28-29, the resurrection of life is still future.


These temporary resurrection are not part of the “resurrection of the dead,” which is foundational for Christians according to Hebrews 6:2 Any resurrection of the dead before Jesus comes is an isolated event, not based on a promise of God’s word.

Christ was Resurrected B

According to Luke 23:43, Christ said to the thief on the cross, “I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise.” This refereed to Christ, for verse 46 records “and when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said,” father into my hands I commend my spirit: and having said this he gave up the ghost (expired).” In contrast the, body of Jesus was buried by Joseph of Arimathea, and arose three days later (Luke 23:50; 24:7).

Luke 24:39 shows that the body of the Christ was raised Jesus said,” look at hands and my feet. It is I myself! Those who do not believe in the resurrection of the body do not believe in the resurrection at all; they are unsaved (I Corinthians 15:1-4).

Draw a line from each characteristics of Jesus resurrection body to the scripture reference where it is found:

All Christianity depends on the resurrection of Christ. Look up the consequences of denial of the resurrection in I Corinthians 15:14-18


I Corinthians 15:14 “And if Christ is not risen, then our preaching is empty and your faith is also empty.”

I Corinthians 15:17 “And if Christ is not risen, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins!.”

I Corinthians 15:18 “Then also those who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished.”

Christians who have died will be Resurrection at Christ’s coming


When a believer dies, his soul goes immediately to be with the Lord, but this is not his permanent condition. Our full salvation will include the resurrection of our physical bodies at Christ’s coming.

Paul expected to go immediately to go into the presence of Christ when he died. Philippians 1:21, “for me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.” He is talking about death when he writes in verse 23,” For I am hard-pressed between the two, having a desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better.”

Yet Paul also looked for the resurrection of his body at the future time of Jesus coming for he wrote in Philippians 3:20-21 “For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, 21. Who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself.”

Thus we must doctrine of both soul sleep and denial of the resurrection of the body. Both are false doctrine.

The Unsaved Will Be Resurrected

At death, the unsaved immediately go into torment. Jesus told of a rich man who died and “in hell where he was in torment…” (Luke 16:22-23). This refers to his soul, since it took place immediately at death. The place where the unsaved go at death is Hades in Greek translated hell in the KJV.

The bodies of the unsaved dead will be resurrected and reunited with their souls so be sent into everlasting torment. After Christ returns, the bodies of the unsaved will come out of the sea or death (the grave), and their souls will come out of hell (Hades). They will then be judged and cast into the lake of fire. Jesus used a different word (Gehenna) for the lake of fire where soul and body will suffer everlasting torment (Matthew 10:28). Thus there are two places called hell-Hades, where the soul of the unsaved goes at death, and Gehenna, where the body and soul go after the resurrection and judgment

According to Revelation 20:1-15 below, read for yourself and be blessed all your life.
1 And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. 2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, 3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season. 4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. 5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. 6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years. 7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, 8 And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. 9 And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them. 10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. 11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. 13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. {hell: or, the grave} 14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

The first time I “laid hands on” and prayed for something or someone was shortly after I was saved. Our family dog had become quite ill (tumor in the throat). You see, as a new believer, I didn’t know enough “religion: to know that God doesn’t heal animals. I just believe. I laid hands on my dog’s and commanded in the name of the Jesus that she be healed and she was!

I don’t know the mysteries of God, but I know that when we obey His commands, He will use us for His purpose. I have witnessed and participated in many such miracles of God, many of which have been accomplished by the laying hands.

Why “laying on of hands?” lying on of the hands seems no more than a ritual in the modern church. Therefore, it may be surprising that Hebrews 6:2 lists it as one of the foundational principles of the doctrine of Christ. However, as we shall see, the laying on of the hands has biblical significant far beyond an empty ritual.

Let us search the scriptural for answers to these questions about the laying on of hands:

What is the purpose of laying of hands?
The laying on of hands is as means of imparting divine blessings. It significant a transfer between two parties.


The first mention of laying on of hands in scripture indicates its significant its throughout the rest of the Bible. Genesis 48 records that as old Jacob was about to die, his grandsons, the sons of Jacob, were brought to his sickbed. According to verse 9, they were brought to Jacob (Israel) in order that the might bless them.


Verse 14 states “And Israel stretched out his right hand, and laid upon Ephraim's head, who was the younger, and his left hand upon Manasseh's head, guiding his hands wittingly; for Manasseh was the firstborn.”

The power of this is again indicated in verse 20: “And he bless them that day.” However, this does not mean laying on of hands merely confers human approval, for the rest of verse 20 shows that Jacob pronounce God’s blessing as he laid hands on them: “ in your name will Israel pronounce this blessing: may God make you like Ephraim and Manesseh

The purpose of laying on of hands is also indicated by comparison of two New Testament passages. Acts 13:3 records that “they laid their hands on” Saul and Barnabas in the church at Antioch. The significance of this is implied in Acts 14:26, which states that Saul and Barnabas later returned “to Antioch where they had been committed to the grace or God for the work that has now completed.”


What Blessing are Imparted by the Laying on of Hands?

1. The laying on of hands can bring healing from God. According to Mark 6:4-5, He laid his hands upon a few sick people and healed them.

According to Mark 16:17-18,”those who believe …they will place their hands on sick people and they will get well.”

Again in Acts 28:8 “Paul went in to him and, after prayer, placed his hands on him and healed him.”

2. The laying on of hands is used to confer God blessing on a new ministry.

Acts 6:1-6 describes the selection of seven men by the church at Jerusalem as deacons. Verse 6

“Whom they set before the apostles; and when they had prayed, they laid hands on them.”

Acts 13:1-3 describes the sending out of Saul and Barnabas by the church at Antioch. According

To verse 3,” Then, having fasted and prayed, and laid hands on them, they sent them away..


3. The laying on of hands is used to impart the gift of the Holy Spirit

According to Acts 8:1-17, Peter and John when the arrived in verse 17, “Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost."

According to Acts 19:6, when Paul laid hands them, the Holy Spirit came upon them, and they spoke with tongues and prophesied.”

4. Laying on of hands is used to impart Spiritual gift.

In 1 Timothy 6:4; 14, Paul wrote to Timothy, “Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you by prophecy with laying on of the hands of the eldership.”

Paul again wrote in II Timothy 1:6, “Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying of my hands.”


The word gift in both these passages is the Greek word charisma, which is used in the Bible elsewhere to describe spiritual gifts (Roman 12:6; 1 Cor 12:4). The Bible uses a different word dorea for the Holy Spirit Himself, as Christians, we receive the gift, the Holy Spirit is the keeper of the gifts or manifestations of the Holy Spirit, and gives them to and through believers as He will.


Laying on of Hands is often van empty ritual in the many churches today.
Laying on of hands is used in some church for confirmation, but these were never connected in scripture. To confirm is to establish, which is done by encouragement and instruction (exhortation - Acts 14:22; 15:32).

Laying on of hands is sometimes used indiscriminately to impart spiritual gifts without divine revelation. the distribution of spiritual gifts is determined by the Holy Spirit (He gives them to each one, just as he determines.” (I Cor 12:8-11).

Hands are some times laid on candidates for church offices without sufficient time to prove them. God’s word warns against this in I Timothy 5:22.


“Do not lay hands on anyone hastily, nor share in other people’s sins; keep yourself pure...”

TEXT: “But the fruit of the Holy Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there in no law” (Galatians 5: 22-23)

What a glorious listing of virtues we find in the Apostle Paul’s letter to the church at Galatia. Who could reasonable debate the value of the aforementioned fruits of the Spirit? A great confusion is possible for new believer in understanding the difference between terms of the fruit of the Spirit and a doctrine of works or legalistic behavior. New believers are frequently drawn into groups that place an unhealthy emphasis on works in order to become or stay saved, the fruit of the spirit will be produced by the Holy Spirit within the life of every believer who in partnership with God’s Spirit properly cultivates such fruit, there is however as counterfeit to the fruit of the Spirit and that counterfeit is revealed in Galatians 3:2 where Paul chastises those who think salvation depend upon following a set of rituals. (See also Colossians 2:16-23).


It is often true, both in the world and in the church that we give praise to the powerful personalities rather than the good and noble in character, that is to say, we are greatly impressed with great performance. Could it be that our current cultural standards for many of American’s greatest sports heroes in recent history have turned out in fact to be persons of been idolized by the media and even by the church.


God, in fact has considerably different standards for measuring a Christians greatness than does our society or culture. The Lord is more interested in character than charisma, in godliness than greatness, in showing love rather than impressing people with religious accomplishments.


Jesus commented on the unhealthy preoccupation with size and statistics many times throughout his teaching ministry. One very clear and prominent example of this is found in Mark 12: 41-44.



41 “Now Jesus sat opposite the treasury and saw how the people put money into the treasury. And many who were rich put in much. 42 then one poor widow came and threw in two mites, which make a quadrans. 43. So He called His disciples to Himself and said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you that this poor widow has put in more 44. for the all put in out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty put in all that she had, her whole livelihood..”




God certainly looks upon the heart, while we natural human being have a real tendency to focus on the externals of life and its issues. What is God really after? What are his true standards for greatness, growth and maturity? Scripture is not silent on this matter scripture places far greater value on the fruit of the Spirit than it does external displays of holiness and on large number. Even great feasts of supernatural power are secondary to a transformed life (Matthew 7:21-28).



In John 15:4, Jesus said “abide in me and in you … As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine: Again in John 15:7: “If you abide in me and my words abide in you…Ask…it shall be done unto you.” David states, “his delight is in the law of the Lord and in his law he meditates both day and night.


Fundamentally then” the fruit of the Holy Spirit would be that virtue which is produced in our lives by the Spirit of God as we cooperate with Him in cultivating that virtue.


Since cultivation of the fruit of the Spirit revolves around the word of God it would assist us greatly to look briefly at God’s word as it relates to each of the different fruit of the Spirit.


Love

Love involves our relationship with others and with God.


Love of God


I John 4:7-11 ” Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. 8. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. 9. In this the love of God was manifested toward us , that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that might live through Him. 10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sings. 11. Beloved if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.”


By this message and others it can readily see how God’s live progressively moves from Love of one’s self, God’s love of us, to the love of God, to the loving of others created in His image. It is made readily apparent that our ability to love in all three realms has its origin in the love of God for us.

The love of others

The love of others is a primary expression of God’s Spirit in our lives. Its importance is made clear by the words of Jesus Himself.

Matthew 5:43-45 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ 44. But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, 45. that you may be sons of your father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust..”

To the Pharisees, neighbor was a narrowly defined term. Neighbors were to be loved, but enemies could be hated. Jesus expanded the definition of neighbor to include enemies. See especially the parable of the good Samaritan (Luke 10:25—37).


LOVE OF SELF

When asked which is the greater commandment in Matt 22:37 Jesus response is recorded. “you shall love the Lord your God with all you heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.

It is apparent from our Lord’s response that one must have a love of oneself as a foundation for loving others. We can truly love ourselves because it is further recorded in scripture. In 1 John 4 we find “we love him because _________________.” God both has loved us and continues to love us even when we are unlovely, with all of our imperfections and shortcomings, We can then be at liberty to love ourselves, even as God does, and subsequently we are free to love others.


JOY
Nehemiah 8:10 “Then he said to them, “Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not sorrow, for the joy of the Lord is your strength”

Romans 14:17 for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

Romans 15:13 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that
you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.


Joy is the positive feeling of the whole man that the will of the Lord is being done. Our Lord Jesus Christ demonstrated such joy when he suffered and died for us. It was in fact the chief motivating factor and the apparent source of strength for His vicarious suffering.

Hebrews 12:2 “Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

Joy produced the praise to obey and serve God with the understanding that it is worth it all both now and forever.


Peace

For an exercise in understanding God’s commitment to bringing peace to our lives, just take a look at how many times this particular fruit of the spirit is communicated to the saints by the apostles in the opening and closing statements of the New Testament epistles.
James and I John are the New Testament epistle that do not either end or began with a strong reference to blessing the saints with the peace that comes from God to the body of Christ. Of particular interest is a characteristic of peace that is non-typical to today’s culture.

Romans 6:20 “For when you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness.”

Hebrews 13:20 “Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant.”

Peace is not passive. It is associated directly with the very resurrection of Christ. It resurrects the life of God within us and it crushes the power of Satan within.


Another scripture of interest on the peace of God as an important aspects of the fruit of the Spirit is
Romans 8:6

“For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.”

Longsuffering

Longsuffering can be defined as long and patient endurance of offence.


The scripture speaks of the great virtue in several passage, and through our review of them we can learn of this work of this of the spirit in our lives. In the new international version of the bible the word for His suffering is translated patience.


I Timothy 1:16 “However, for this reason I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might show all longsuffering, as a pattern to those who are going to believe on Him for everlasting life.
.”

2 Timothy 3:10 “But you have carefully followed my doctrine manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, love, perseverance.”

2 Corinthians 6:6 “by purity, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the Holy Spirit, by sincere love,”

Colossians 1:11 “Strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy;”

Colossians 3:12 “Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering;.

2 Peter 3:15 “and consider that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given to him, has written to you.”


Gentleness

Gentleness is that which keeps us from being unkind or harsh to others. To be gentle is to be equitable and fair, not insisting on keeping the letter of the law, but before judging to look objectively and the reasonably at the facts of the situation. Some versions of the Bible use the word kindness instead of gentleness.

Gentleness avoids causing pain whenever possible. Gentleness towards others is an attribution of great grace for the body of Christ.


GOODNESS

Good is love in action. It not only desires for the welfare of others but also acts to see that the welfare is realized. Being good is more than being righteous; the Bible makes a definite difference between the two in Romans 5:7.


Romans 5:7 “For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die.”

A righteous person could evict a widow for not paying her rent, and would have the legal right to do so. Righteousness would keep the letter of the law, but goodness would assist her in times of need


Faith

Faith emphasizes our relationship with God: when it refers to our belief in Christ of God, faith means “a firm persuasion,” However in Galatians 5:22, faith refers to a characteristic in those persons in whom the fruit of the spirit is being produced. Therefore, it is the idea of faithfulness, fidelity, or trustworthiness.” This faith is that characteristic which causes one to be true to his promise and faithful to his task.

Matthew 25:21 “His lord said to him, ‘well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your Lord!”

Meekness

Meekness is not weakness. It is not the opposite of courage, it is strength under control. It is a spirit of humility that refuses to let pride rule one’s life. Meekness means that we have the mind of Christ that Jesus is in control of our lives. The meek person does not throw his weight around. Meekness is actually the proper use of authority and power.

Christ is to be our example of meekness.

Philippians 2:5 “Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus!


Temperance

To most of us the word temperance conveys the idea of abstinence from alcoholic beverages, but as a part of the fruit of the spirit it refers to self-control. It is that virtue found in the life of one who master his desire and especially in regard to sensual appetites. Perhaps the illustration of self-control is seen in Christ as he faced the cross in the Garden of Genthsemane.

Matthew 26:39 “He went a little farther and fell on His face, and prayed, saying, “O My father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will.”


The fruit of the spirit is singular. It is like a pie that has been divided into nine pies. Each one of the characteristics is required if there is to be a whole.

The list of the fruit of the spirit ends with against such there is no law. The law could not produce such fruit. Only the Holy Spirit can lift us out of legalistic law keeping into fruitful discipleship.

INTRODUCTION
Our God is the Almighty one and his knowledge of us can be likened to that of a manufacturer of an engine who must know all intricacies of the engine. As the Chief Architect of our nature and/or the manufacturer of all parts of our body, He knows to what to do to any part that falls out of harmony at any point in time. He wants to heal us, we only limit his power if we deny his healing power today. We need his healing touch today more than as obtained during Christ’s life ministry and the apostolic age.


A. The original state of man
The bible in Psalms 139:14 says we are fearfully and wonderfully made. This implies the perfect state of man at creation after God finished creating man. He looked and considered the work He has just created and certified and pronounced that, “It was very good” (Gen 1:31). So God created man perfect; no ailment. No disability, no disease and no sickness. In his own perfect image created he-man. (Gen 1:27)

B. The sources of illness’
The maxim that there in “no curse without a cause” is very relevant to our point of consideration here since there is as well no sickness without source. Some sources of illness are:
1. Sin: Man was tempted, sinned and fell in the garden of Eden Gen 3:1-6, since God could no longer dwell in man because of indwelling sin, the original state of perfection was lost. The presence of sin in man implies the presence of the devil and the presence of satan means problem, woes, sickness, afflictions etc. The devil is the author of them all and there is nothing good in him. Jn 10:10a, Lk 13:14-16.
2. Malnutrition:
3. Over-eating: Overworking the systems of the body will break them down. Prov 23:21. Here over-eating (gluttony) is likened to drunkenness.
4. Curses and demonic attack: Lk 13:16, Acts 13:9-11, Job 1:8-12; 2:7.
5. Other sources: can be through overwork, sleeplessness, restlessness, anxiety and worries. Prov 17:22, Prov 15:13

C. Healing in Jesus name.
Our Lord Jesus Christ died and rose again to guarantee us perfect redemption. Part of the redemption package is our good health and power over sickness and disease 111John 2 , Isa 53:3-5, Matt 8:17, 1Pet 2:24, Lk 9:1-2, By redemption, we have been brought back to our former position. However, because we lost that position to satan, he is not going to let go easily unless we send him packaging by violence! (Matt 11:12)

1. Ways of receiving our healing
Prayer by the sick person. Jam 5:13, Jn 14:13-14, Phil 2:9-11. Nothing hinders the devil from trying you with a sickness and nothing stops you from rejecting his offer and dispatching it back to him with the speed of the Spirit of the Lord and in the name of Jesus. When you are ill, check your life if there is any sin there. Confess and repent of it if there is and thereafter pray a prayer of healing for yourself and the result will amaze you if you do all things by faith. 11 Kgs 20:3-5.

2. By united or communal prayer of two or more brethren. Matt 18:19, Jam 5
: 16a. This is why you need to belong to a House of Fellowship nearest to you.

3. By laying hands on the sick person. Mark 16:18, Acts 17:18, Acts 28:8, This must be done with caution. Ensure you have consecrated life and you are living holy before laying hands on the sick. 11 Cor 8:5, Rom 12:1, 6:13. Anointing the sick with oil and prayer of faith by elders. James 5:14-15. There should be no unscriptural ceremonies like ritual washing, burning candles, holy water, putting on a cross etc. The Bible says the prayer of faith and nothing else. Mark 5:25-29


A. How to keep your healing and remain healthy
• You must be born again. Jn 3:3, 16, 36. Note that healing is the children’s bread. Mark 7:24-27
• After salvation, you must live in obedience. Touch no sin anymore. Deut 7:12, 15, Isa 1:18-20, Jn 5:14, Jam 4:7.
• Worship God continually in spirit and in Truth Jn 4:24
• Fast and pray often. Isa 58:6, 8.
• When satan tries you with illness, confess what the word of God says about your healing and claim the promises. Confess strength at all times and not weakness. 1Cor 3:16-17, Joel 3:10.

CONCLUSION
The realm at which divine healing is operated is the realm of dominion. God wants to take you there. To seek refuge at the medicine shops at every appearance of illness is not sinful but indicates you are still far from where God wants you to be. Develop a strong faith against sickness today based on the word of God and you will in no time find yourself walking in the realm of dominion.

Everyone is talking about the financial crisis! It is on the news everywhere. And people all around the globe seem to be afraid of what is happening in South Africa, as well as the world’s major markets.
I am writing this message to tell you that all is well for those who believe and practice the Word of God!

I am not sending this note to repeat to you what you already know, nor am I writing to remind you of the frightening news that is bombarding us every day. Nor do I want to say what the world keeps talking about.

I am writing to personally remind you what God has said to us all along. I WANT TO STRENGTHEN YOU IN YOUR FAITH.

You and I know that financial crises have come and gone, but God’s people who truly trust the Lord have prospered both in times of plenty and in times of lack!
God’s Hand Revealed During Famine In fact, according to God’s Word, His hand is always revealed in time of lack. For example, as recorded in Genesis 26, Isaac prospered supernaturally and miraculously while King Abimelech and the Philistines all around suffered great loss and famine. Isaac was not affected, not even for one minute!

Look at what happened to Isaac: “For he had possession of flocks, and possession of herds, and great store of servants: and the Philistines envied him” (Genesis 26:14). This happened after Isaac sowed seed during famine, an unnatural thing to do, but he received a hundredfold harvest within months! Yet King Abimelech and the Philistines experienced financial disaster daily. They were so envious that finally the king came and asked Abraham’s blessed son to leave: “And Abimelech said unto Isaac, Go from us; for thou art much mightier than we” (Genesis 26:16).

After Isaac left, the Philistines realized more than ever how much Isaac had been blessed. And without the blessing on him, they would have lost their own lives. King Abimelech and the leaders came to him:

And Isaac said unto them, Wherefore come ye to me, seeing ye hate me, and have sent me away from you? And they said, We saw certainly that the Lord was with thee: and we said, Let there be now an oath betwixt us, even betwixt us and thee, and let us make a covenant with thee; That thou wilt do us no hurt, as we have not touched thee, and as we have done unto thee nothing but good, and have sent thee away in peace: thou art now the blessed of the Lord. (Genesis 26:27-29)

What God did for Isaac, He did with Abraham previously, and then He did it again with Jacob afterward and repeatedly with His people Israel.
As a result we are told, “He shall deliver thee in six troubles: yea, in seven there shall no evil touch thee. In famine he shall redeem thee from death: and in war from the power of the sword.… At destruction and famine thou shalt laugh” (Job 5:19-20, 22).

The Righteous Laugh in the Face of Famine!
God will satisfy us financially and physically, even in times of famine and financial chaos: “The Lord knoweth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be for ever. They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied” (Psalm 37:18-19).

What God has done He still does. What God has done He will continue to do. This is not the time to fear! This is the time to trust and rejoice in the Lord, for his promises are “yea and amen”— they cannot fail.

The New Testament also tells us, “Being enriched in everything to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God” (2 Corinthians 9:11).

God Almighty so wants to prosper and bless you. That is God’s plan for you. All He is looking for is your obedience:

Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit. (Jeremiah 17:7-8)

Did He not promise that he would open the windows of heaven that “that there shall not be room enough to receive it” (Malachi 3:10)?

Did not the Son of God Himself also tell us, “Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down , and shaken together, and running over , shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again” (Luke 6:38)?

These are not promises of lack. These are promises of supernatural abundance that are beyond our comprehension!

The Door—Giving to the Work of the Lord
The door to supernatural provision, even during famine and chaos, is through obedience and faithfulness to God’s Word. As long as believers support the work of God, they have nothing to fear; but those who do not support the work of God and the spreading of His Gospel do not enjoy that same protection and have much to fear.
Giving to the work of the Lord—I repeat!—giving to the work of the Lord is the secret to abundance! When we join hands with Jesus Christ and give to His work—spreading His Gospel to the ends of the earth—He has guaranteed that we cannot and will not lack financially! The same cannot be said of those who do not give to His work; so I encourage and urge every believer to protect yourself and your family by being generous with the work of God.

All you have to do to secure your present and future is give to the Lord’s work and let your faith be established in God’s Word. The Lord even promised to bless and prosper and protect your children and your children’s children.
When you give to God, you build a wall of protection around you and your family. You cannot lose! It is impossible for you to lose, for your guarantee comes from the highest authority in heaven and on earth.

I am sending you this message to remind you of God’s promise and to tell you as long as your trust is in the Lord, you stand on solid, unmovable, unshaken ground!
Do not let the world or the news weaken your faith in the mighty God of heaven and earth. God is not a man and cannot lie. His promises are eternal, and your life and future are safe. You will be safe forever as long as you trust the Lord.
So today, as you obey His unfailing Word and give to His glorious Gospel, He promises in His Word that He will increase you “on every side” (Psalm 71:21).

Remember, every time you give, the Gospel will be preached, for it is your giving that enables me to preach the Gospel around the world, with the Holy Spirit confirming His Word with signs following.

Honoring Him with Your Firstfruits
Honor Him today with your substance. Honor Him with the firstfruits of all your increase. And He promises in His eternal Word that your barns will be filled with plenty, and your presses will burst out with new wine: “Honour the Lord with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase. So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine” (Proverbs 3:9-10).

Give today to the Lord, for surely He will fulfill His Word!
Listen to this wonderful promise and apply it to your life—in fact substitute your name as you read it: “He [your name] shall be as a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his [my] fruit in his season; his [my] leaf also shall not wither ; and whatsoever he [I] doeth shall prosper” (Psalm 1:3).

Today sow your seed for the work of the Lord and for the Gospel of His precious Son, our most beloved Lord Jesus. Then go to sleep tonight with peace and tranquility that passes all understanding. And when you wake in the morning you will awaken with a song in your heart, for the Lord rejoices over you in singing.

Sow your seed today, and the God who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that you ask and think will surely prosper you, bless you, and increase you without measure!

Remember that your greatest days are ahead. Your future is healthier than your past, brighter than your past, and more prosperous than your past!
